Signing in with 𝕏

Reading NEIGH needs no account. To post, reply or give carrots you sign in with 𝕏. Our sign-in provider (Supabase) then receives your 𝕏 account ID, username, display name, profile picture link, and your email address if 𝕏 shares it.

• We use your 𝕏 account ID to know which NEIGH account is yours.
• Your 𝕏 username stays private unless you turn on Show my 𝕏 account. Then it appears next to your name, linked to your 𝕏 profile.
• We don't show your 𝕏 display name or photo. On NEIGH you pick your own name.
• We never post to 𝕏 for you and never read your posts, followers or messages.

What's public

Everything you post is public and can be seen by anyone, signed in or not: your trails, hoofprints, replies, the carrots count on them, and the name you chose. Link previews on 𝕏 and other apps show your trail's goal and name too.

What else we keep

• A scrambled version of your IP address, stored with what you post, to trace spam. It's one-way scrambled with a secret, so it can't be turned back into your IP.
• What you did in the last day (posts, replies, carrots, with times), to limit how fast anyone can post. Cleared out after a day.
• Which things you gave carrots to, so each person gives one carrot per thing.
• In your browser: your sign-in session and small settings like a dismissed banner. Clearing your browser data removes them.

No ads, no ad trackers, no analytics cookies.

Services that see your visit

• Cloudflare hosts the site.
• Supabase stores the database and handles sign-in.
• 𝕏 handles the sign-in step itself.
• Google Fonts serves the typefaces, so Google sees your IP address when a page loads.
• stonkfun.xyz supplies the coin stats on the $NEIGH page (only that page). Buying goes through Jupiter, only if you click Buy.

We don't sell or share your data with anyone else, and we don't use it for advertising or to train AI models.

Deleting things

You can remove your own hoofprints, replies and trails at any time. To delete your whole account and everything linked to it, message @NeighUni on 𝕏 from the account you signed in with, and we'll do it.
